Spring mulch refresh that lasts the season
Fresh mulch is the fastest way to make a property look cared-for — but only if it's edged clean, laid at the right depth, and prepped underneath. We do all three, so your beds hold their look through the South Carolina summer.
Early spring (March–May) is the sweet spot in the Midlands: mulch laid before summer heat locks in moisture, suppresses the crabgrass and doveweed that thrive in our climate, and gives roots a cool, even base before the worst heat arrives.
Why depth and prep beat just dumping bags
Mulch only suppresses weeds and holds moisture at the right depth — too thin and weeds push through, too thick and it suffocates roots. We pull existing weeds, re-cut the bed edge, and lay an even ~3-inch layer so it actually does its job.
Crisp edges are what people notice
A sharp, re-cut bed line is the difference between 'someone takes care of this yard' and 'someone dumped mulch.' We define edges along beds, walks, and tree rings so the whole property reads intentional.
Priced by the yard, measured on-site
We price mulch by the cubic yard installed — not a vague per-bag guess — and confirm the volume by measuring your beds. Premium types (cypress, hardwood, dyed) are available on request.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- How much mulch will my beds need?
- We measure on-site and price by the cubic yard installed. A typical residential refresh runs 2–5 cubic yards; we confirm the exact volume before starting so there are no surprises.
- When is the best time to mulch in the Midlands?
- March through May. Laying mulch before summer heat helps lock in moisture and suppress the warm-season weeds (crabgrass, doveweed) that take off in our climate.
- Do you offer premium mulch types?
- Yes — cypress, hardwood, and dyed mulches are available on request. We'll quote the type you want by the cubic yard.
